SOFTBALL: Ferris Has Its Season Underway

The start of the season is here for Ferris State University as it is in Florida participating in the Rebel Spring Games, as is the Bulldogs' tradition.

Ferris, 24-23 last season, will be under the direction of first-year head coach Dawn Thompson who has been in the program as an assistant and knows what Bulldog softball is about on the diamond.

Chelsea Morris, a senior first baseman and the 2011 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year, is back to lead the squad this season. She led the team with 51 hits last season with 46 runs batted in and nine home runs.
