HOCKEY: Ferris Considered A Lock For NCAA Tournament

Ferris is hoping to get its NCAA Tournament bid on Sunday afternoon.

U.S. College Hockey Online is projecting Ferris State University as a virtual lock for the NCAA Tournament as an at-large bid.

The Bulldogs of head coach Bob Daniels were ranked sixth the PairWise Rankings entering the weekend's action. The Bulldogs were projected as one of 13 locks to make it into the tournament - in spite of its tough exit in the second round of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Tournament against Bowling Green State University, 2-1.

Ferris has to hope for no surprises on Selection Sunday. Surprises should not impact the Bulldogs too much as the team seeks to return the program to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2003.
